PHUSE US Connect 2025 Summary

By Beaconcure | Mar 26, 2025

PHUSE US Connect 2025 in Orlando, Florida from March 16-19 was a wonderful whirlwind! We had many interesting conversations at our booth and during our four sessions about the future of statistical analysis, how human-in-the-loop feedback can balance AI automation in TLF validation processes, and the growing need for better oversight and visibility in review and handoffs.

A big highlight was Beaconcure Co-Founder and COO Ilan Carmeli participating in the panel discussion “GenAI in Clinical Data Science: How Far Have We Come and What Lies Ahead?” with other industry leaders from J&J, Bayer, Saama, Roche, and Pfizer. The insights they shared on what’s effective – and what isn’t – provided an important blueprint for how we can collaboratively succeed and drive change.

Ilan Carmeli dove into further details about where AI/ML and humans meet during his ML, AI, and LLM Stream session, “The Best of Both Worlds: Machine Learning and Human-in-the-Loop Processing in TLF Design, Production, and Validation (ML18).” Read this paper and presentation.

It’s clear the industry is ready to rethink double programming as the gold standard. At our Software Demonstrations Stream session, “Verify: A First-in-Class Review and Validation Platform for Biometrics in Clinical Research (SD05),” Achinoam Ravet Perel, data management and SAS programming expert and Head of Customer Success at Beaconcure, showed in practice how many of today’s challenges around communication, visibility, validation, and metadata curation can be seamlessly addressed within the Verify platform. We also noted wide recognition that how we work together is just as important as the work itself, and the importance of using technology to enhance and streamline processes rather than digitizing inefficiencies or creating more burden. Steve Ross, Beaconcure Director of Statistics and Life Sciences Consultancy, discussed breaking down these silos during his Emerging Trends Stream session, “From Specification to CSR – Toward a Unified Analysis and Review Platform (ET19).” Read this paper and presentation.

We’re honored to be participating in and presenting at multiple industry events this year, including demos to showcase new and extended Verify capabilities. In the meantime, follow Beaconcure on LinkedIn to stay up to date on our latest announcements.
